NCC at St. Francis College, Koramangala
The NCC at St. Francis College, Koramangala was approved by DGNCC on 21st September 2022, under the ‘Fully Self Finance Scheme’ (FSFS) with the company name FSFS 1/3 COY. It is functioning under 1 Karnataka Bn NCC, Bengaluru ‘A’ Group, Karnataka & Goa Directorate.
The company is approved with an authorized strength of 52 cadets and is headed by Associate NCC Officer (ANO) Lt. Amaregouda, NCC ‘C’ Certificate holder from 37 KAR BN NCC, Bagalkot, Bellary Group, Karnataka and Goa Directorate.
Cadets undergo vigorous institutional and camp training throughout the year (weekly 2–3 parades). They also get opportunities to represent the college in various camps such as YEP, RDC, TSC, and other adventure activities, based on performance at Battalion, Group, and Directorate levels.
Institutional Training
Institutional training is conducted within the college campus and includes:
- Teaching cadets Foot Drill and Weapon Drill
- Common syllabus covering National Integration, Personality Development, Leadership, Health & Hygiene, Life Skills and Environmental Education
- Conducting social service and community development activities to build the spirit of selfless service
- Celebration of important national days to promote awareness about NCC and motivate students to join
Camp Training
Camp training is conducted outside the college campus and introduces cadets to military life. The training includes specialized syllabus such as:
- History and Organization of the Indian Armed Forces
- Weapon Training
- Communication Skills
- Field Craft & Battle Craft
- Map Reading
- Obstacle Training
Objective of Training
The main objective of the training is to instill discipline, leadership qualities, and personality development among cadets, preparing them to serve the nation with dedication.
