The Department of Interior Design (BSC IDD) organized an Educational Visit to Bangalore Palace for interior design students to gain practical exposure to historical architecture, ergonomics, and artistic design elements. The visit was conducted on 25th February 2025, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.During the visit, students participated in a guided tour and in-depth insights into the architectural history, intricate design details, and ergonomic aspects of Bangalore Palace. The tour highlighted various elements such as furniture ergonomics, spatial planning, and artistic craftsmanship.A live sketching session was integrated into the tour, enabling students to capture design elements and analyze proportions, styles, and detailing firsthand. This practical exercise helped students bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications in historical architecture.The students actively engaged in discussions and observations, gaining valuable perspectives on heritage conservation and architectural influences on modern interior design. The session also fostered creativity and analytical thinking, crucial for their academic and professional growth.
