: Industrial visit to Channapatna Toy Factory and Janapada Loka Cultural Center

The Industrial Visit to the Channapatna Toy Factory and Janapada Loka Cultural Center was conducted on 22-05-2025 under the coordination of Ms. Rekha V.S. and Ms. Jayanthi Y.S. The visit was organized with the objective of exposing students to traditional Indian craftsmanship and folk culture, thereby enhancing their understanding of indigenous arts, crafts, and rural heritage.At the Channapatna Toy Factory, students observed the complete eco-friendly toy-making process, including the use of softwood, natural dyes, and traditional lathe techniques. This experience helped students understand sustainable production methods and the skill-intensive nature of handcrafted toys. The visit emphasized the importance of preserving age-old craft practices in a modern industrial context.At Janapada Loka Cultural Center, students explored various aspects of Karnataka’s folk traditions, including traditional architecture, costumes, musical instruments, murals, and rural lifestyle exhibits. The displays provided insight into the social, cultural, and artistic values of the region.Overall, the visit offered a rich learning experience by connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world cultural practices. It enabled students to recall, identify, and analyze the significance of traditional crafts and folk heritage, fostering cultural awareness, respect for sustainability, and appreciation for India’s diverse artistic traditions.
